Contraception
You are here: Home » Gynaecology » Contraception
There are many forms of contraceptives available. As every woman is unique, there is no "one size fits all" when it comes to contraception.
Women have many reasons for seeking contraception. Contraception allows women to choose when to have a baby. Responsible contraceptive practices also help to reduce the number of unwanted pregnancies and abortions. The final preference depends on the stage of the couple’s reproductive cycle, medical factors, cost of contraceptives, whether they want permanent or temporary/reversible contraception, socio-economic factors and religious factors.
How effective is this method? How many options are available? How often do I need to use it? How quickly can I get pregnant if I stop using it? Do I need to see my Gynaecologist to start? Do I need a prescription? Does this protect against STDs & AIDS?
